Once you’ve found an event you’re excited about, you can join it and start planning your day(s).
To join an event ticketed through Aftergame, tap Get tickets to secure your spot.
If you have a code, be sure to Apply it!
Select the tickets you would like to purchase.
All payments are handled by credit card via Stripe.
If you’re buying multiple tickets, you can assign tickets to friends, guest players, or anyone on Aftergame.
If you don’t want to assign them now, you can assign them later from My tickets on the event page.
Tap Assign tickets > choose number of tickets > select player > Assign ticket.
If Add-ons are available, they’ll be listed under the main event tickets.
Add-ons could be things like lunch, panel talks, tournaments, and more.
Proceed to Checkout to confirm and pay for your tickets.

Once you’ve paid, you’ll be sent an email containing your QR code tickets and a link to your tickets details in the app. Your QR code (either from the email or in the app) can be used to check into the event, check games out of the library, and enter Play to win competitions.

To join a free event (or an event with tickets provided through a third party) tap RSVP to choose your response.
You can add guests (people who don’t have an Aftergame account), and Add a note to your RSVP before confirming.

If tickets are provided by a third party, make sure to click through and buy the tickets you need for the number of people you’re bringing.

Another option is to set yourself as 'Interested' to a planned game or event. This will save the event but not reserve you a spot. If the event is still closed, you’ll get a notification when it opens for sign ups.

Once you’re marked as Going or Interested, this event will be added to your Going filter so you can see all the events you’ll be attending in one place. There’s also an Add to calendar button :add-to-calendar: that will add the event to your default calendar (with permission).
Now that you’re attending, you can claim a seat in a game or plan to play a game you’re excited about.
You will also get event notifications according to your preferences.

If you join an event hosted by a group you’re not a member of, there will be a prompt to join the group to stay informed about what they’re planning next.
