How locations work

Events and Groups

Set your current city to see what’s happening near you. In the filters, you can change how far away you want to see events and groups.

If you move or visit a different city, you can change your location so you can find games to join even while travelling! Tap Where and select a different city to browse. Untick the Update in profile box before selecting the city if you don’t want the new city to become your default city.

In the Events page, the listed events will be sorted by their proximity to your location.

In the Games page in the Events tab, you will only see games in your area.

We can also send you notifications when a game from your Want to Play list is planned in your selected area.

You can set the privacy of your location to Public, Friends, or Private.

You can copy the address or open the address on your device’s map by tapping the location.

Play logging

Add a location by tapping the location field and selecting or creating a location to add to the play log.

You can set a default location when you create or edit the location.

If you add locations to your play logs, you can view play logs by location. To see a location’s play logs:

Tap on the location from a play log, planned game or event, then select Plays at this location from the menu.

Different types of locations

There are four types of locations. When you create a new location, you can assign one of these types to it.

Private: A home or other private space. When planning a game or event in a private space, you can choose how much of the address is shown (right).
Business: Let people know ****your space is a tabletop-related business.
