Ticketing on Aftergame is still in Beta. Though we have been very cautious with the release of this functionality, there may still be some rough edges. If you experience any issue, please email [email protected] or message us on our Discord server.

Overview

Ticketing on Aftergame allows you to handle your entire event in Aftergame, combining the place people get tickets with what’s happening in the event, all in one place!

Setting up your group to be able to create tickets and accept payments will take 5-10 minutes, and currently requires both an Aftergame+ subscription and being in our closed beta (please email us at [email protected] if you do not see the option).

Stripe

We have partnered with Stripe for all payment processing. Stripe handles the actual transactions, validation of card details, receipts, payouts to your bank account, and refunds.

You can learn more about Stripe here: https://stripe.com.

Pricing

Events using Aftergame ticketing will not have the usual attendee limit caps or fixed fees, we bake all the pricing into the ticket purchases.

During the Beta, our service fee will be set at 3.5% on each ticket sale. We may change this after the Beta period and we are also investigating the option to have lower pricing for Not-For-Profits.

On top of this, Stripe has a payment processing fee. Stripe’s processing fees vary per region and you can view the pricing for your region here: https://stripe.com/pricing.

Getting set up

We will take you through the steps from getting started, right through to accepting your first ticket payment. We will assume that you already have your group setup on Aftergame.

Group payment setup

Before you can create any ticketed events on Aftergame, you must first setup your group’s payment profile so that you are able to accept payments from your attendees. A large part of this will be setting up your Stripe account which will include setting up your organisation and bank details.

To start the process, go to your Group page, press “Manage” and then “Payment settings”. This will present you with a screen where you can start the payment onboarding process.

From here you must setup the main admin email before continuing on to Stripe to setup your account there. You can add more Stripe user accounts to manage payments in the future through the Stripe dashboard.
