What is a created (or guest) player?

If you have a friend who hasn’t created an Aftergame account yet (or a kid who’s too young to have their own account, for example) you can create them as a guest player. The created player will hold all of the play logs assigned to them and can be added to planned games.

The best bit is, if your friend gets an account, you can connect the created player with their proper account when the time is right!

How to create a player

There are two main ways to access this feature:

When adding players to a play log

While logging a play, tap Add players > Create Player > Type in name > Create Player.

They should show up in the list of selected players immediately but if they don’t, you can now find them in your list of players and tick the box beside them.

If you’re not logging a game, tap Profile > Find friends > Create player > Type in name > Create player.

They will now show up on your friends lists, you can add them to games and events, and you can search for them (though they won’t show up in search results for anyone else).

From this page, you can also invite people to connect their accounts to a version of them you’ve created.
