Invite players to your group, event, or game

Once you’ve created a group, event, or game, you can invite other players to join you by tapping Invite and selecting the friends you’d like to invite. This could be players with or without accounts.

Inviting players you know who have Aftergame accounts

Use the Invite button (shown in the rectangle) to invite friends already on Aftergame to join your group or event, or claim a seat at the table. (This is also how you would assign a guest player to a seat at your table.)

Inviting players you don’t know who have Aftergame accounts

(Best for posting at events or in a tabletop-related location.)

Use the QR code (shown in the red circle) to open Aftergame directly to your group, event, or game so they can join you.

Inviting players who don’t have Aftergame accounts and are likely to get one

(Best for sharing on social media where there will be a mix of people who do and don’t and will and won’t get or have an account.)

<aside> 💡

When you invite a player to a game, their spot is reserved for them until they reply to the invitation. If they accept, you’ll see the symbol beside their name change to Going. If they decline, their spot will become vacant and can be claimed by someone else.

Players have the option to bring a guest, as well, which will be represented by a +1 under their name.

Use the QR code or share link (shown in the circle and triangle, respectively) to send them to a webpage showing your group, game, or event. From there, they can download Aftergame and make an account to take advantage of your invitation.

Inviting players who don’t have Aftergame accounts and are NOT likely to get one

If the player you want to invite doesn’t have an account, add a guest player you previously created by searching for them the same way you’d search for an account holder or tap Invite > Create guest player >Type the name > Create player to add them to the list.

If you invite a guest player to a game, they’re marked as going. If their situation changes, you can remove them from the table to free up the seat for another player.

If you create a guest player and then they get an account, you can merge their account with the guest player so they keep their schedule, play logs, etc.
