How to share a grid of games on Aftergame
If you’re looking to share your gaming journey with friends, you can post an image with a grid of games to show what you’ve been playing. The grids are fully customizable and fun to play around with.
How to find the sharable image creator
There are two ways to find it.
- For the first 4-5 days of each new month, there will be a button in your Home tab that will take you to the grid creation window.
- The rest of the time, the same button is in your Profile tab.
How to make a shareable image
Once you’ve located the image creator, you can tailor your grid to your specifications. There are a few things to consider before you share it.
- Timeframe: You can adjust the time frame by tapping the Date box. That will open a menu where you can choose how much time you want the grid to represent.
- The default is set to month. If you choose Week, Month, or Year, (and then Apply time filter at the bottom), you can use the arrows on the right to move backwards and forwards in time.
- If you choose Custom, you can set the start and end date for your grid and then tap Apply time filter at the bottom.
- Filters: You can decide if you want to include expansions, reimplementations, and compilations. Tick each box that you want to see represented in your grid and then Apply filters at the bottom. If you’re a subscriber, you can also filter by collection and location.
- Options
- Grid size: Choose how big you want your grid to be.
- Thumbnail scaling: Not all of the game images are square; you can choose if you want to see the whole image or if you want no empty space.
- Background: Light or dark.
- Play counts: Show or hide the small numbers in the bottom right of each thumbnail.
- Aftergame logo: You can choose whether or not the logo will show up in the bottom right corner.
How to share a shareable image
Once the grid looks the way you want it to, tap Share image under your grid to share it. You can send it to specific people or groups.
Depending on the options available on your device, you may need to send it to yourself (via email, messenger, Whatsapp or anything else you use) to get the image out of the app and then you can post it as any other photo on social media.
