Groups are found in the Groups tab at the bottom of the screen. You can Discover new groups or see the groups you’ve already joined (Your groups). You can also find a group’s page by tapping on them from any event that they’re hosting.

Once you’ve joined a group, there are a few things you can see and do inside.

What’s in a group?

Share buttons: The share buttons at the top will create a link to a webpage that lists the basic group info and all upcoming group events. If someone who already has Aftergame scans the QR code, it will take them directly to your group page.

Banner and logo: The logo will be shown next to events and games planned by the group so you know they’re official.

Name: You can tap on the group name to see more info, including a list of members, a description, a location, when the group was created on Aftergame, and what domains they operate in.

Plan a game: Tap here to plan a game that will show up in the Planned games and events page (just below Log play) for members of the group to join. If you mean for the game to happen at a particular event, first tap into the event and then tap Plan a game.

Log play: If you log a play from here, the log will be included in the stats for the group. One of our upcoming features is group stats; you’ll be able to see what’s popular in the group, high scores, etc. There will also be group challenges and inter-group tournaments down the line.

: Tapping this opens a small menu where you can invite new players to the group or leave the group.

Planned games and events: A round-up of all the past, present, and future events and games the group has hosted.

Collection: This is where you’ll find the official game lists the group has posted.

Below those, you can explore the combined collections of all the group’s members. By default, the list will be sorted alphabetically but you can tap Game to reverse that or tap Collections to sort by the number of players who have those games in their collection making it easy to see what’s available and what’s popular within your group.

You can change which of the lists you’re viewing, filter for various things, or search for a game directly.

Stats and Insights: (Coming soon)

Discussion: A place to chat with group members about whatever group members want to chat about.

Filters

Some groups have loads of events each hosting many games and large collections to browse, which can make it tough to find what you’re looking for. The Events, Games, and Collections can all be filtered to help you narrow your search.

Events: You can filter events based on attendance (Hosting, Invited, Going, Not going), whether or not it’s an official game, and whether it’s in the past or still to come.

Games: Games can be filtered in lots of ways including attendance, timeline, length, complexity, and domain, or you can search for specific games by typing them in.

Collections: Collections can be filtered by list type, length, age, complexity, type of game and more.
