Large events and conventions

If your event is a convention or gaming event with over 50 paying attendees, we will manually designate it as such.

When you create your event, choose the “Meetup” option and set the event to Private, then email [email protected] with the event name and we will convert it to a convention for you.

The benefits of large event status are:

• Unlimited attendees
• Top billing, your event will be prominently listed ahead of other events in the Aftergame app giving it more visibility.
• You can add a floor plan - players can then drop a pin where their game will be played making it easy for them to find each other.
• Host a play-to-win or other giveaway

This is how the featured events show up on peoples’ event lists.

The floor plan is condensed until you tap the floor plan button and then shows up like this on your event page.

Set up your event

To set up an event, you need to add the following information:

• The name of the group hosting the event - if you haven’t set up your group yet, you can do that now, too
• A cover image (a 2:1 ratio works well, preferably over 1000px in width)
• Event name
• An event description
• Start and end dates + times
• Event location
• Who can see it
• (Optional) Games lists
• (Optional) Tickets link
