After downloading Aftergame from the iOS or Android app stores or finding us at https://aftergame.app/ to use us on the web, you will be prompted to create an account by logging in with either your Google, Apple, or Discord account.

Follow the prompts to link your Aftergame account to one of these services.

Once completed, you will be asked to create your profile.

Here you can:

  1. Create your display name – This is what you and your friends will see when logging data and viewing your records.
  2. Create a username – This must be unique, as it is used for connecting with friends.
  3. Upload a profile picture (optional) – Personalize your profile by selecting an image that best represents you.
  4. Include your city (optional) – Tap change current city to determine what groups and events you see and unlock additional features, such as notifications when someone nearby is planning a game on your ‘Want to Play’ list.

Tap "Create Profile," and you’re done! You’re now ready to start logging your games with friends. If you have data from other sources, you might want to learn more about our import data feature or start by adding games to your collection on Aftergame.

Privacy settings

We know you take your privacy seriously and we do, too!

To find your privacy settings, tap Profile > ☰ > Privacy and Visibility.

There are several things you can determine the privacy of individually, with more granularity on the way.

Private: Set to Private if you don’t want anyone but you to be able to see these details.

Friends: Set to Friends if you’d like to share your collections, play history, etc. with the people you’ve connected with.

Public: Set to Public if you don’t mind who sees your details.

You don’t need to save or confirm your selections. Once you’ve changed the setting, the new privacy level will take effect immediately.

To edit your profile, tap Profile > Edit profile

OR

Profile > ☰ > Profile details.

Here you can edit the information you’ve already entered, write a bio, and add your pronouns, if you wish.
